Programme scope

From neural biology to mathematical models

MAMBA develops the mathematical foundations needed to understand and model neural systems. The programme progresses from single-neuron and population models through linear algebra, differential equations, probability and statistical modelling, before bringing these concepts together in a project applying neural models to biological problems.
